The Schools Education and Empowerment Programme – SEEP for short - was set up in partnership with eye4education and SOS Bus NI over 1 year ago and to date we have worked with 6 Schools: over 800 students, parents and staff. For the past year we have been concentrating on the social issue of alcohol awareness.

The programme is built on 4 platforms –
1: an educational workshop
2: a project planning workshop
3: a dragons’ den style presentation environment
4: optional summer programme (in which students work in team to produce a polished TV style commercial)

To date we have worked with the following schools:
St Malachy’s College Belfast
Our Lady and St Patrick’s College, Knock
De La Salle College Belfast
Hazelwood College
Mercy College and Monkstown Community School.

We are currently in discussion with another 6 schools to increase the size of the programme next academic year to 12 schools in total.

The programme itself is extremely comprehensive complimenting many areas of the LLW curriculum and also providing many areas of expertise. Elements of the revised curriculum are also incorporated, including additional provision using the skills of numeracy, literacy and ICT.

If you would like to know more about how the programme works please get in touch with SOS Bus NI or ourselves.
