School Subject Option Choices Mapped to Labour Market Intelligence

Between January and February every year eye4education engages with a number of schools to provide expertise in linking subject option choices to the NI and global labour market. This involves many hours of communication with each individual school and the sharing of option choices, procedures and current/historical data trends.

Schools value the bespoke application and how the holistic approach is taken encompassing both STEM, STEAM and Non STEM subjects and how there is a role for all subjects within the current and future labour market.

The following Schools have greatly benefited from the Subject Mapping 4 Careers Programme:
Methodist College, Belfast
St Mark’s High School, Warrenpoint
Glengormley High School
Belfast High School
Laurelhill Community College, Lisburn
Shimna Integrated College, Newcastle

In addition to the pupil programme in most cases eye4education recommends an audience with the parents either in the evening or in a twilight session. This includes partnering with the school to deliver a session on the importance/know how of the parent engaging and supporting their child in this process.
