The Teacher CPD eye4employability programme is a one to three hour interactive workshop targeted towards post primary school teachers.

The aim of the programme is to equip teachers with information and understanding about the various (including alternative) progression routes for pupils from school to employment.

The Learning & Development objectives are:

• Awareness of future demand and supply within the NI labour market (where the job growth is, qualifications demands from employers, etc.)
• Understanding of the various progression routes for pupils from school to employment including Apprenticeships
• Awareness of the alternative qualifications available to pupils (e.g. BTEC / Applied courses, NVQ’s, Essential Skills, etc.)
• Understanding of the skills and qualities that employers are looking for in candidates
• Awareness of current recruitment/selection procedures currently being used by employers
• Provision of an online web site to facilitate Teacher use within the classroom

eye4education makes every educational programme a bespoke event based on the special requirements and the abilities of the participants. We can also pre and post-test all participants to produce a detailed report outlining changes in behaviour, skills, knowledge and attitude.
