The Primary STEM Forensic Science programme is a 90 minute workshop targeted towards P6 yo P7 pupils.

The aim of the programme is to introduce primary school pupils to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects while engaging them in innovative activities and getting them to perform as part of a team. The programme focuses on using forensic science (analysing each other's fingerprints) to solve a crime. The Learning & Development objectives are:

• Understanding the meaning of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
• Awareness of how STEM subjects are studied at post-primary school
• Understanding of the benefits of studying a STEM related subject in school
• Awareness of a range of careers that require STEM subjects and at what level
• Experience of working as a team to use forensic science (fingerprints) to determine the perpetrator of a fictional crime

eye4education makes every educational programme a bespoke event based on the special requirements and the abilities of the pupils. We can also pre and post-test all pupils participating in the programme to produce a detailed report outlining changes in behaviour, skills, knowledge and attitude.
