The Primary Language of Literacy programme is a 90 minute workshop targeted towards P6 to P7 pupils.

The aim of the programme is to reinforce to primary school pupils the importance of literacy, reading and writing in school (and in life in general) while engaging them in innovative activities and performing as part of a team. The Learning & Development objectives are:

• Understanding the importance of language and literacy in school and in everyday life:
• Word level: spelling
• Text level: procedural and narrative writing
• Reading/comprehension/analysis
• Demonstrating the impact good language and literacy skills can have on future opportunities
• Awareness of how English subjects are studied at post-primary school
• Experience of innovative activities reinforcing language and literacy

eye4education makes every educational programme a bespoke event based on the special requirements and the abilities of the pupils. We can also pre and post-test all pupils participating in the programme to produce a detailed report outlining changes in behaviour, skills, knowledge and attitude.
