Designed for the effective transition of pupils from primary to post primary school, the Trans4mers Programme covers a wide range of learning outcomes impacting on the pupils’ roles and responsibilities before, during and after school. Pupils will investigate the importance of effective decision making as well as the benefits of networking and being a team player. Finally pupils will learn the importance of prioritising through a concept called ‘Eat the Frog First’. During this programme pupils will work in teams of up to six students per table preferably of mixed classes within the year group.

Learning and Development Objectives are as follows:

• Understanding the importance of networking
• Investigating the value of personal development and progress planning
• Researching and exploring the new post primary school
• Explaining the importance of effective decision making
• Highlighting the benefits of working as a team in school
• Understanding how to manage time and prioritise - ‘Eat the Frog First’
• Explaining the benefits of communication inside and outside school

Timings and Resources: The programme lasts for a maximum of 2 hours split into 6 x 20 minute sessions.
Delivered in a workshop style format, tables of max 6 pupils.
Can be delivered in class or main hall.
Will need use of screen, projector and sound.
All other resources and technology will be provided by eye4education.

The programme is inclusive of the revised curriculum and will include many elements of ICT, numeracy and literacy.
