NASUWT keeps an “eye” on their members

Eleven members arrived at NASUWT HQ on Saturday 13th June 2015 to take part in a bespoke ‘Teacher Training Assessment Centre’. The trainee teachers were certainly put through their paces as well as receiving up to date information on the recruitment process for potential teaching staff in Northern Ireland.

The whole day was built around a teaching position within a fictional school to which all documentation and assessments related. The participants completed an application form and sat a formal interview which was made up of a very experienced panel.

Post the assessment centre each participant received bespoke feedback on their performance on each stage of the assessment and an action plan for moving forward in the hope of finally securing that full time teaching position.
