Over 150 Lower Sixth pupils took part in the annual Belfast Royal Academy Assessment Centre on 2nd and 3rd November. Due to the timing of the event pupils competed over 2 days and the competition was as high as it has ever been. Over both days in question the event was supported by 12 business advisers from 5 different businesses. Thanks goes to Total Mobile, the Army, Belfast City Council, Randox and Queen’s University Belfast for their attendance and on-going support. Each pupil was assessed and scored on 4 stages with a maximum of 80 points available overall. Business advisers found it very difficult to differentiate between pupils especially at stage 3 (group assessments) and stage 4 (individual interviews), therefore it is likely that stage 1 (application form completion) and stage 2 (aptitude testing) will be the difference. Final statistical report and winners will be announced next week.
